Case studies

The value was already there. It could not be seen whole.

Each engagement began with a problem people had learned to tolerate. Each ended with a system that kept working after I left.

The evidence of the pattern

The value was already there. It could not be seen whole.

£15M

The £15 Million Blind Spot

In a large pharmaceutical portfolio, recurring stock-outs had become normal. The losses were real, large and dispersed, so the organisation had learned to live with them. The real problem was not supplier performance. It was the absence of an early-warning and coordinated-intervention system. Every signal entered a visible database, the right internal expertise was deployed to help suppliers earlier, and the financial consequence was made visible to the board.

The programme protected approximately £15 million in out-of-stock value in its first year, and continued after I left.

The Partnership Excellence Pattern

"The answer was already inside the organisation. It simply could not travel."

Across multiple organisations over almost two decades, I repeatedly found capable people holding different pieces of the same answer, with no route to the decision-maker. Converting that dispersed insight into visual clarity, governance, ownership and action produced commercially material impact, in some instances reaching double-digit proportions of annual revenue. The operating mechanisms continued after my involvement ended.
